Mardi Gras+ returns in 2027, inviting artists, venues, promoters, sporting clubs and community groups to bring their ideas, creativity and passion to the world stage.

As the official open-access programme of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival that runs from 12 February to 7 March 2027, celebrating LGBTQIA+ communities through events including parties, performances, exhibitions, sporting events, community gatherings and family-friendly activities.

A new way to join

The new Mardi Gras+ Portal makes it easier to register and manage your event. Simply choose your package, submit your event details and register.

Approved events will feature on the Mardi Gras website and app from 6 November, helping audiences discover your event and plan their Festival.

Participation is free for First Nations and Trans and Gender Diverse community events as part of our ongoing commitment to creating space for diverse voices and experiences.

Mardi Gras+ is open to local, interstate and international organisers. Applications are assessed for their relevance to LGBTQIA+ communities, contribution to the Festival and alignment with Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras’ ethical charter.
